Hydropower
Hydroelectric or hydropower captures the energy from flowing water and turned it into electricity. The most common type of hydro power plant utilizes a dam on a river to store water in a reservoir. Water released from the reservoir flows through a turbine, spinning it, which in turn activates a generator to produce electricity.
Solar Energy
Solar energy technologies capture the sun’s energy and light to provide electricity. The energy it produces is also use to hot water and even cooling, for homes and buildings. There are several technology applications which took advantage of this type of renewable energy. The most common is Photovoltaic systems, which produce electricity directly from the sunlight.
